Brief intro:

CoStar, a highly popular online listing platform for investment real estate assets such as industrial buildings, office spaces, retail centers, multi-family apartments, etc. Gives you the ability to quickly and easily search for property records and listing data. This is typically used for the purpose of finding who a property owner is (which can be a very tricky thing to determine in investment real estate). To do this, first you search for a given location, such as Oklahoma City, you add some filters like property type, property size, price point, and other characteristics, and then you are given a list of matching properties in your search area. You can click through each property individually and examine the information, or you can bulk export all of the properties to an excel spreadsheet, which is a very handy feature. There's just one problem. Ownership data isn't included in bulk exports. 

I decided I was going to automate the process of grabbing ownership data for each property with a simple web scraping automation.
Creating the following "bot" took me about 2 days to complete, and about one more workday to make the search more robust.
